Dear God

I attended a Singles Encounter Weekend and one of the activities was to write a letter to God.  I didn't know what to write at first, but I closed my eyes and began to think of the many times God saved me.  I know my life is not perfect, it will never be, but I know I will always have a God who sees me as a perfect creation.  I am loved, I am blessed. And so, here is my letter to God:

Dear God,
Here I am writing you once again, but this time not to ask for any favors and petitions.
My God, I want to praise and thank You because You have given me this life.  I know I have screwed up, I messed up my life, I was stupid, and I don't deserve much love but still, You are there.  You never left me and you've remained faithful even if I am not.
God, I am so sorry for hurting you.  Sorry for not taking care of all the things You've given me.  I am sorry for turning away from you for countless times. I am really sorry.
Thank you for Your loving grace and mercy.  Thank You for Your forgiveness.  Thank You for giving me my life back.  You've always lightened my burdens.  Thank You for coming into my heart because You have replaced all the heaviness I felt.  Thank You for the people who made this weekend encounter possible.
Once again, You showed me that I am blessed and that I am loved.
Thank you Lord for showing me the meaning of time, love, care, and forgiveness.  Thank you for welcoming me back into Your arms. Thank you for the realizations.  Thank you for everything. Thank you for loving me unconditionally.

                                                                                                                              Love,
                                                                                                                              Purple

It's Been A While

It’s been four years since I last wrote here.  In those four years, a lot of things have happened in my life.  Things that I would say are life-changing which includes, meeting a man, getting engaged, tying the knot, and finally now , expecting our first baby. I still couldn’t believe how blessed I am to have experience all of these in a span of four years.  Others would say it’s a long wait, but for me, everything is just in its perfect time.  All fell into place.  I am amazed how God has blessed me with all these important events in my life I never imagined will ever happen.       I remember how I used to get so lonely and how I felt so alone before.  I remember how I used to think that settling to be alone and just be single forever was really my fate.  I hated every man that came into my life.  Well not that I really hated them but I always looked for the perfect one but no one was good enough.  ...

Maybe Someday

There are moments when you just want to get mad and ask so many questions because a lot of things are going through in your mind.  But when a person begins to start talking and explaining to you without you even asking, all you can ever say is "I missed you".  When he still proceeds, you just want to give him the tightest hug and wish that you could just take away all his hurts and pains.  All you can even say is "everything will be okay". All these things? I cannot do for the moment because he is just too far and circumstances won't permit us to be together.  All you can do is just pray and let everything be according to God's plan. He finally called me and sent me a few messages.  I can't do anything but just let things take its course.  I am hoping and praying that he will be able to fix his life --- alone, for now.  I also have a life to fix and organize.  Maybe someday, if this, or if we are meant to be together, we will be. ...

Rafael At First Sight

I still couldn’t believe that God has allowed me to be a bringer of a miracle called life.  I am five months pregnant and yesterday, February 4, 2017, I saw my precious little one for the first time through an ultrasound.       My husband and I went to the clinic early in the morning to have my lab tests done. We also had our scheduled routine ultrasound and the congenital anomaly scan required of every pregnant woman.  We had to wait for three hours for the lab tests to be done, and another thirty to forty five minutes for the doctor (the OB-Sonologist) who would perform the routine ultrasound.  While waiting, there are a lot of things that are going through my mind like, what would my baby be, will he be a boy, or will she be a girl?  Is he/she going to be too small or too big for his age, which is about 20 weeks now,  and a lot of things more.  Finally, my name was called, and the first thing that came into...
